To help you get the best experience possible out of your Christmas Mini Session with us, we’ve created this handy guide to ensure we have a successful shoot and have a fun and productive time together.

Before the session

Personal hygiene
Please pay attention to your fingernails and check that they are clean, cut and there’s no chipped nail polish. Make sure your hair looks nice and isn’t frizzy.

Make-up
If you like to wear make-up, please do. It will help make your photos pop.

What to wear
If you feel like dressing up, there’s nothing wrong with a touch of fancy during a Christmas shoot. But please remember, as these sessions are very short, you’d need to arrive already dressed.

In terms of colours, it’s always good to pick three coordinating colours that go well together and stick to them in your outfit. Red, white, denim and plaid all look good in Christmas photos. You definitely don’t need to be all matching in identical outfits. Mix it up a little with textures and don’t forget to add some accessories. If in doubt, wear something comfortable and don’t worry too much. No logos and stripes if possible.

What to bring
Feel free to bring a favourite Christmas object or a toy and any accessories you wish.

The day of the session

Be on time
Mini sessions are quick moving sessions scheduled back to back, so it’s important you arrive on time to make the most out of your allocated time.

No mobiles
During the session, please don’t take any pictures with your mobile phone. It is a quick session and this will be a distraction. At the end of the session if there’s time, you’re more than welcome to do “behind the scenes” videos for social media.

Posing
We like our sessions to be fun, easy and relaxed, so hopefully you’ll feel relaxed too. There is no pressure on you or your children to perform at the session and to look at the camera with big perfect smiles in every shot. Natural shots are always best.

After the session

Within a week of your session your password protected gallery will be available for you to select your images from the shoot. You’ll also be able to purchase additional photos and other items (cards, ornaments etc) if you wish.
